Gradings

What are gradings?

Gradings are an opportunity for students to show their understanding of Choi Kwang Do techniques and application, often being rewarded with more advanced material to work on.

How do they work?

All gradings are performed with our qualified examiners.

Students will be invited to demonstrate the techniques and drills expected at their belt level, which they will have been training with in class.

When are they?

Grading opportunities come up roughly every 10 weeks, with specific dates announced in class. Typically, gradings will be in the following months:

Any student who has not paid for a grading a week in advance will not be reserved a time slot.

This notice does not mean that a student is guaranteed to grade on every grading day.

Dan (black belt) gradings will be arranged as required throughout the year, dependant on demand and readiness of students to grade.
